The double twist weft indigo 14s in this cut are amazing. I will definitely have to add these when they drop. I love all of the repro brands and what they do but I do think the proportions of Iron Heart’s 1955 cut, with the materials and construction makes a really special, beautiful and wearable jean. (For me, of course. The 888 would be perfect if I were built slightly differently. The 634 also needs no notes but I do like my higher rise.)

Just received my small from the IHUK crew and couldn’t be happier. The holographic effect of the check in person is really something. Once more of the macro pics came out I definitely had to jump on this. Really handsome shade of blue. And I love my 12oz western shirt but the work shirt cut is perfect, I think I’m solidly in this camp for flannels.

Still keeping an eye on these obviously. The weather in Georgia, USA has been heating up and brought back out the tiger stripe cargos. If these are similar to the back sateen then anyone that hops on the baker pants will be in for a treat.

Love the idea of a prerecorded higher fidelity video! The censored green pants in the preview suggest some type of fatigue. If the rise is high enough that might be my summer pickup.

@MarkNo The 1955 and the 888 are definitely pretty similar but there are key differences that make them wear and look a bit different at least depending on how you size them. The 1955 has a slightly higher rise compared to an 888 with basically equal measured waist size. The taper, someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think the 888 starts tapering more above the knee than the 1955 and the 1955 will taper to a slightly larger opening from my experiences. They’re both great cuts and I’m glad to have been able to get a pair of these with how fast they went. The 1955 for me with the rise and waist size facilitates better proportions with tucking in shirts and keeps a nice pillar-like leg.

@CuseMM below the knee the 1955 will keep a stronger leg impression than the 888. If you are fitting either of these to your natural waist you should have enough room with your front and back rise but the 1955 will wear slightly more comfortable, at least for me.

Don’t have a great setup for fit pics but I’ll do my best to describe how happy I am with this fit! Firstly, glad to have gotten a W30 from @TheShopVancouver and absolutely killer packaging and presentation AND perfectly hemmed. 888 has been my cut and it is great, but as my overall tastes have shifted a little more vintage-inspired I really needed just a bit higher rise and classic leg. At my navel I’m 28.5ish inches and with a high enough rise around 29 inch measured waist is what I aim for, but not getting bogged down in the numbers these are just a perfect pair of jeans. Shamelessly can do the whole Brando in The Wild One thing, depending on when the 14oz drop that may be my birthday present later in the year.

Might have to hop on these. The 16oz slub type 2 has easily become my most worn jacket and need a 1955 cut with my growing quads/hammies and moving to higher rise than my 888s.

@SKT I’ve got the tiger stripes and my main denim cut are the 888s. I’d say they’re for me a 888 with less taper. My 21S and SBGs are in a size 30 with measured waists originally around 29 inches. My cargoes are in size 29 with 29.1 inch waist and the front and back rises are just slightly shorter than my 888s but still is basically right at my navel. Really comfy cut and I think just classic and flattering.

Cargos received and can’t overstate how great the cut is on these!

Hoping for a high-ish rise on the product measurements. One of the priorities this season if the measurements work out for me.

@John-Galt I’m glad you were able to finally get through! I snagged the other XS. The measurements were spot on for me and an Iron Heart Type 1 was too good to pass up, especially when I saw the stock on the drop. Smooth transaction for me though.
