1955 14oz - fresh off their courtesy Self Edge hem!
These were originally 35.5”; now 34”. I wore them for 4 months with some heavy stacking before pulling the trigger on the hem. Washed lukewarm to get any shrinkage out beforehand, then dropped off at SELA.
Very happy with the inseam now and overall fit! I think the 1955s are just a fabulous lifter cut. Paired here with some Tecovas.

@_joey sweet yard! I need to get grasses tips from you it looks like
Haha thanks dude! What’s duck canvas without a proper wildlife refuge in the backyard, right?
And yes — super into the native bunch grasses! We’re in California, for reference, with very heavy clay soil in a narrow valley setting.
Some of the plants you see are: purple needle grass, deergrass, nodding needle grass, alkali sacaton, and common juncus. some yarrow, elymus glauca, and blue eyed grass in there somewhere too. Those + big trees have been a sweet combo for our clay muck!
the grasses are easy but seasonal — we let ‘em seed out and look great in the breeze, then cut them back close to the ground every summer, both for looks and fire danger

And we’re back!
Astorflex chukkas + Left Field Kakishibu Bucklebacks (tapered to 9.25” leg opening) + Bronson tank + IH 189
really enjoying the kakishibu brown weft undertones vibing with the 189 and the boots

overdyed cpo

Freenote slub chinos
Butterscotch Chelseas

duck shirt
todd snyder washed relaxed denim
new butterscotch lbc rough out chelsea boots

While I love the overdyed cpo, I find it difficult (because of my coloring, maybe?) to style it casually. Sometimes it feels like too bold of a piece for my wardrobe, but I know that the more I wear it, the more character and softness will develop.
Throwing it on here with a beater beer shirt, Todd Snyder relaxed washed denim, and some Wolverine 1000 milers.

duck shirt x left field nyc t x 1955s x astorflex chukkas! enjoying some heavier clothes before we get smoked with a crazy March heatwave

Watermelon UHF / LL Bean Chore / Freenote slub chinos / muck boots / lotta rain today
Had really been struggling to fill out this vintage Bean chore coat — but the UHF does the trick. Gives the coat structure too so it’s less of a potato sack

@kojimastreets aw cheers man, thanks! honestly there’s pros/cons to the size up — it’s all about what you want from the piece. if I stayed my usual size, it’d still be sweet - just a more fitted, dressier, and honestly my more preferred length. Maybe that’s where yours’ landed?
but what I wanted was an outdoor ready iron heart carhartt crusher - and that’s what I got!

Loving this combo:

It’s duck season in California!
Cheesin’ on the untucked today! I’ve tried wearing this same purple thermal with the self edge collab cpo — kinda uncomfortable as the baggy undershirt has too much material for the slimmer cpo arm opening.
This is just way more user friendly for layering

@imgg hey dude! Check my post above for fit of the 4XL at 6’2, 215lbs. Longtime powerlifter with a 270lb current bench press, so I need that chest room too, for sure
Mine came in at 24.9” and is totally perfect for both t shirt and layered wear. It really does rock, though - I’ve been getting lots of compliments already and it is just beautiful in the sunshine.
It’s a hit! XXXXL via Gosport — thanks Josh for the outstanding customer service. I asked for the shortest 4XL available and the guys delivered.
Plan is to wear this CPO as a chore coat and outer layer. Mission accomplished! Plenty of room for a UHF or hoodie and mobility for the manual labor (i volunteer in native plant restoration) that I want to do in it — but still fitted enough to wear out and look nice.
Thanks everyone for their observations and analysis. Really helped to dial this in. And I’m 6’2” 215lbs, if that helps anyone making a similar call.

@Northman nice hit on the 3XL!! I scored the SP this morning and requested a shorter length from the guys. I’m a big ol’ powerlifter and figured I’d risk a larger fit — and an exchange if it’s silly big
Yep, we’re in the exact same boat! I’m 6’2” 215lbs and want this to be a more structured and streamlined version (ie internal pockets rather than external) of a chore coat - so I think I’ll just deal with the longer length. Mobility wins with this one!
