HOLY MOLY those look amazing @AdamJ I assume they have been washed a ton? I reeeeeeally dig how the black arches and W stand out like crazy on that pair. Might need to give mine a few more washes…

@atm23 they're 2 years old but I am unsure how much wear/washes they've had I'm afraid. They came in to Josh for repair so I borrowed them for some pics!

I'm going to take an educated guess and say that pair has been washed at least a dozen times, maybe quite more. My pair of 777XHSbb are much darker and around the same age with more contrast overall and have been washed 8 times in a machine with 140 or so wears.

Geez these are sick!! Hoping one day a pair will pop up on the Buy/ sell thread!! I have a pair of SBG getting hemmed right now I look forward to getting into. But that 25oz!!! Believe it was the great bearded one him self, @Oaktavia that said' @25oz in Black Black…no brainer!!" These dropped when I was first getting into IH...sadly at the time I had to brain!!

@Mizmazzle I remember asking Filthy Mike what type of black denim I should go for, the SBG 21oz or the XHSbb. He was the one who recommended the latter and I'm so glad he did. Eventually it became the no brainer for me and knew Mike really knew his shit after that!

Damn @Oaktavia that story is nuts. Because the last conversation I had with Mike was about how I was bummed I missed out on the XHS BB, but had found a steal of a deal on a new pair of 21oz SBG…Mike, in his kind natured way, assured me the 21oz was about as good as the XHS....in my heart I knew he was trying to ease my FOMO haha. But the unique weight and double black color paired with the fact that it wouldn't be made again...I knew it was what it was. That guy sure knew how to give some great advice and make one feel part of this community.

I mean he was right, they are pretty similar in many ways. SBG is an amazing fabric and will fade with even more contrast down the road if that's what you're after. There seems to be an increasing interest in black XHS so maybe there will be something or other in the future? Might be pipe dreaming here…

Is the XHS BB donezo? Funny cos I have a pair of SBG and 14oz black and they get probably the least wear out of my jeans, yet I'm sure if these are discontinued I'll start GASing due to unobtanium

XHSbb came out the same season XHSmb did. I'm pretty sure @sabergirl has a pair of those also amazing black 25oz.

About two weeks of wear. This is my third pair of black/black denim from IH. I have the 633 14oz, 633 21oz, and this 888 25oz. I wear all black for work so I'm really dependent on these pairs. Can't wait for the fades to start kicking in on this one.

At first I was second guessing the 25oz because damn they need some time to break in but oh man I'm loving them.

This denim in black is my absolute fave–if it ever comes back I'll be buying a lifetime's worth I think--which for Iron Heart will probably be what, 3 pairs  Enjoy!

My 777 pair has about 150 days and one soak initially . I snagged a 555 pair in the outlet also, they will be saved for a few years probably
