Somehow it became a holiday tradition that I make cinnamon rolls because I make the best fucking cinnamon rolls on the planet (not an exaggeration), and I hate it. I don’t really enjoy baking and I don’t love sweets, but it really does make everyone happy so I do it with a smile on my face. Bah humbug. Sorry, this turned into a rant. @goosehd is probably going to move this comment to the random rants thread

@seawolf major downvote on two counts - 1) my wife makes the best cinnamon rolls until you prove me wrong, and 2) where are my cinnamon rolls to prove me wrong?

@Tago-Mago Two very valid points. Would it help to convince you if I told you that I worked as a professional chef for 2-1/2 decades? I'll be making them on Christmas, and you're welcome to stop by for a cinnamon roll so I can prove point #2. It only seems fair. And if you end up liking mine better, your secret is safe with me.

@seawolf the proof is in the pudding, it appears. In all seriousness, not even my wife would claim that she is on a par with a professional chef, so your cinnamon rolls are probably superior

@Tago-Mago There's only one way to find out! In cinnamon roll competitions with taste testers, everybody wins! My mother-in-law starts talking about my Christmas cinnamon rolls in February. I think that's as much restraint as she's able to muster.
