SS21 collection: First reactions, top three items….

Superlative seasonal selections!

1. IHV-38.IND

Wow. This and the cardigan are show stoppers. I just bought the IHSW-31 and have not taken it off since I got it. These will be essential kit. The vest will go over everything from IHSH's to tees and is a worthy compliment to my IHV-05, which functions as my hand-pocket outerwear in the summer.

2. IHSH-286.GRN&BLK

I've been calling for an IHSH-25 remake for years and these are even better. The best functional "work" shirt you could ask for. This is the shirt I wear when manual work needs to get done. These look like they will last for years.

3. IHJ-97.GRN

The hits keep coming. This has all the elements. A foundational piece. No frills, no nonsense. Everything you need, nothing you don't. I'm fond of all the jackets this season, but I'm stuck in a "hoodie" phase that might never end.

Lots of refinement. Lots of expansion and evolution as well. No weaknesses. A well oiled machine Iron Heart is.

Jeez, so many promising garments I hope to bag... Feel like a five year old again with the newly released November Argos catalogue to hand! (sorry if that' just a brit thing)

My capsule collection:
IHSH-276_IND but if I had to choose the IHSH-277 nips it, pls don't make me choose
IHSW-56-BLK - To fill a hole in my wardrobe - my previous black zip thru hoodie was stolen!
IHV-38-IND - Don't own a vest, this one might well change that, looks killer.

Oh wait, I need to fit in somehow a micro fleece shirt, a CPO and last but by no means least that lovely IHSW-57.

Really happy to see the IHV-38 featuring in peoples lists. I love these so much. Also unsurprised but equally happy to see the shirting getting the love it deserves. I think this selection of spring/summer seasonal shirting  truly reaches and matches the standard of autumn/winter shirting in terms of variety, design, colour and fabric.

• IHJ-97-GRN:  been looking for an outer shell to throw over just about anything – this is perfect!

• IHJ-96-OLV:  tanker jackets are so versatile and so is olive

• IHSH-277-IND:  absolutely love this color/pattern!

That thing is gorgeous….there's a lot of items I want from this collection and in my initial excitement after just viewing it I can't sort out the top 3 at the moment but damn the 277 is a stunner.

I think this is the first time I'm more excited about the SS collection than the FW collection.

THIS will be my all time favorite collection from
IH - and honestly, I’m so proud of the brand to be stepping out and playing into some new things. Fleece over shirts, button down shirts, plaid work shirts and jersey vests are all IH DNA applied to a world that needs something a little less army inspired (don’t get me wrong, I love my military inspired heritage gear, but these new items have me pumped!)

1. 285-OD short sleeve chambray. Has this been done before? that would be my everyday shirt.
2. 99-Indigo. never seen anything quite like it and I love it.
3. 97-KHA Light color for spring/summer and khaki with new or faded denim is a great color contrast.

1. IHJ-98-OLV  -  Love this, stand out item for me and will be buying as soon as I can

2. IHJ-98-BLK  -  Guess you can tell I like this jacket!

Picking top 3 was quite difficult even after thinking about it this past week while ripping out old, moldy sheetrock & ceramic tiles - “quick, top 3!!!” ‍️

This SS21 collection is speaking my language! Really liking all the lightweight shirt options. Crossing my fingers that some (I’d be happy with at least one!) will get run in ladies sizing

I had a difficult time distinguishing ‘stunners’ from ‘needed/wanted in my closet’. As an example, the technical parkas would top my STUNNER list but score very low in my WANTS

So my list is is a combo of ‘beautiful and needed’ attributes

IHSH 284 IND - short sleeve wabash was plucked from my dreams (hope a black version follows it)

IHSH 279 Blu - outstanding color and weight; SS would be the only way to improve on it. May have to do it locally…

IHSH 277 IND - winner pattern and color combo

Now it's just the struggle of really liking the pieces versus knowing that short sleeve shirts never suit me…. the 284 is crazy though, half hoping it sells like the IHSH-262-NAV so I don't even get a chance to struggle!
