I know nothing about Sugar Cane denim, but have wanted a pair of these just for the patch.  It’s hard to veer off course from IH though and I haven’t pulled the trigger.

I’m the same.  I respect what’s out there but I doubt if Ill ever buy another pair of jeans that aren’t IH.

I have some Hawaiis that I’ve been trying to move on that have some wear on the patch. It’s great denim, just no longer fit.

@sabergirl Ann, they kind of remind me of IH vintage 18oz in appearance.  In your opinion, is there anything IH makes that feels, looks, acts like these jeans?

I don’t have any experience with any of the vintage denims. I think the closest would be the new slub, though. These are the same denim as Sugar Cane Okinawa, and it’s real slubby and irregular.
