This is probably more of a random rant, but inbetween the drama of presidential elections, renovating houses, integrating your daughter into Norwegian society and trying to run a rather large family, while northern Norway is experiencing some pretty insane storm fronts, what you really don’t need is kids in your freshman classes going to parties and swapping COVID-19 then coming into school, thus forcing their teachers (like me), into 10 days of quarantine as a result. Bugger.

@goosehd happily yes although I will still have teaching responsibilities. Lots of Skype/Zoom/Teams time.
@Paul9221 I’ll be automatically called in for testing in the next day or two. We have lots of tests and a pretty effective track and trace system, unfortunately (and understandably), we also have a lot of response fatigue in the general populace.

Thank you Neph. I am sure on whichever side of the political divide you sit, you probably have an awful lot to say.
I know I do, but most of my posts would be deleted anyway because of the profusion of 4 letter expletives I would use, but I will save my rants for a face-to-face chats over a beer. This is not the place to get overly political.
