I have recently put nutella on fettuccine noodles with cracked red pepper and chicken. Was pretty good. Like drunk pad thai.

Japan just can't catch a break on these damn earthquakes. I didn't even know about it until my brother told me lastnight. My mom, who lives on the other side of Honshu, wasn't effected but she ended up calling me as well. I know Japan sits on the ring of fire but I was a little surprised that it happened on the Sea of Japan side.

If you are under 40 or have family under 40, it seems like now would be a great time to buy some potassium iodide (KIO3) tablets to protect your thyroid in the event of radioactive fallout. The situation seems pretty dire.

For those of you that live in the the Southern US, I honestly don't know how you deal with extreme heat. My brother lives in Texas so when I brought this up to him he was telling me he just stays inside with the AC on. Seems like a miserable existence
