Our Iron Heart version of classic N1 deck jacket was first produced for the US Navy in the early 1940s. Much copied since then, it has become a true style icon in its own right. Built in a reactive-dyed ivory whipcoard with alpaca lining and additional interlining to increase wind resistance. A truly warm and great-looking winter jacket.

Never thought I would fancy a 'white' jacket. But after some weeks with my new black N1 Deck Jacket (sized large enough for cold day layering) and some help from the very friendly people of @Iron Heart Germany it was an easy decision to get another one in white (one size down to wear just on top of a t-shirt or shirt). The warmth and comfort is incredible (alpaca wool lining). IMO it goes well with a black t-shirt, but also with a blue chambray. Already feel like an arctic explorer …

@endo I have one inbound from eBay coming Friday. Do you still have yours? I couldn't resist the white N1...such a nice colorway. Similar to white pants, this jacket I think would look pretty amazing with some patina and scuff marks.

In love with this Arctic Explorer. It took me a matter of minutes to get this thing dirty. Definitely going to embrace the dirt and patina with this one. Makes me want a white pair of jeans.

@Oaktavia this looks amazing, but I can't even imagine how hot all those layers must be... what the average temperature where you are at this time of the year?

I wore the hoodie and slubby jacket indoors all day to work. The school is pretty chilly unless you have a sweater on. Outdoors the low was 32F and the high was 51F. Cold on the way to work but mild in the evenings this time of year. @T4920 I'm definitely used to IH layers.
