Thought you might want to see this LawDawg. As long as you know YOUR measurements, the denim will act in pretty predictable ways. I come from a time when sizing down was a norm, but pockets are awesome, so do what thou wilt.

Third wash after 2mo of wear. Total of ~6.5mo.
Always amazed at what the water looks like and how much better the denim feels after being cleaned.
