@twin I have sized up. I've only got a 555 to go off. I found myself pulling them up a lot so thought that the 777 might sit in the right spot (I think I'm correct in that assumption).

The good news is that I bought a size 33 (32s were out of stock). I just checked and there was a 32 in stock so I grabbed it and will compare the two.

Good morning everyone, no soaking yet (I spent almost a year on the 555 ) even if in Italy the summer will never end (today 23 degrees centigrade), after Covid and various flus, I prefer not to risk slipping into a pair of dripping jeans … they'll wait a few more days.!

I'm on the fence for getting one of these. I have a 777n in size 33 that fits perfect for me, would a size 33 also work with this much heavier fabric?

Question, do all areas stretch back out to pre-soak measurements? If so, what is advantage of hot soak vs cold soak?

@bluemantra the waist will but the inseam will not. It helps to keep the honeycomb fades stay in the same place when it is time for a wash when they get dirty.

You are welcome. Yes, cold water with little to no agitation will cause less shrinkage than hot water with lots of agitation. Cotton fibers shrink more with heat and moving around.

@bluemantra I got just under an inch shrinkage in the inseam. I cold soaked for 45 min then put them on a 40C quick wash (about 35 min) with no spin (& no detergent). Today's the first day I've worn them properly as it's been 35C and super humid and they are more comfortable than I was expecting.
