Quick question but what is the point of a soak in the middle of the life of your jeans, and what is the difference b/w hot and cold soak?

It's going to clean them a bit.  To my mind, better than nothing but not as good as proper wash….

hot soak will get you more shrinkage than a cold, from personal experience.

Anyone know how to get in touch with NORTHSTAR612? I'm looking for a good wallet.

With a name like this, he has to be in Minneapolis. North Star impllies MN and 612 is our area code. Let me know if I can somehow help.

Buddy haha you scar me out right now 🙂

                  Cheers,
                  David

So a cold soak is basically to clean them out without fully washing them?

Where online can I buy some nice leather boot laces?
I remember G mentioning a site somewhere on this forum but I can't seem to find it now.

Just go to a local Red Wing store.  They'll have plenty of leather boot laces for around 5-7 bucks.

I'd probably start @ http://bit.ly/1h3BHZk, but I've not bought any, and it's a bit of a jack-ass answer. I am also interested in a pair over coming weeks/months on a serious note, so would like to hear what you end up with.

I'm leaving today for a two week job in the southwest. Can anyone give me suggestions on places to eat, see, do? My time will be limited but if there's something amazing I'll try to go.

Staying in Winslow, AZ for 3 nights and going to the petrified forest. Then to LA staying at the new Ace hotel for 3 nights. Then to Santa Barbara for 2 nights. Then Big bear (lake?) for 2 nights. Then Reno/Tahoe area to go to Donners pass for 2 nights.

                                Thanks guys

I also found this site from a quick google search.

                                  http://www.brettunsvillage.com/leather/laces.htm

I think I might give them a try since they're a couple of states north of me.

Urb- you might want to PM Licorice Noose, since he lives in Flagstaff.  He's probably full of info about cool stuff in northern Arizona.
