So I have a 30" waist and pretty large Thighs (I need a 12" thigh on my jeans now) anyone here have a similar problem? If so what brands/models do you find fit you best without having to go too large on the waist?

I don't own the 555 so just hazarding a guess but I would bet the 555 are a little slimmer in the top block than the 301. The 301 is tapered from both the inseam and outseam so it's a very tapered cut, the 555 is a very slim straight cut, it is straight at the outseam allowing for exposed selvedge edge at the leg opening

I am sure it does as with all things, the quality of the raw materials is fundamental to the quality of the end product, but I have never been asked or have asked the question before.  I will try and get more data.

That's going to make a lot of people on this forum very excited.  But G, what about mixing boot/jacket colours?  You're a boot man, is this a no-no in your book?

I don't do no-nos.  What a person wears and how they wear it is completely and utterly up to the individual - all that matters is that they feel comfortable within themselves and amongst their peer group. But, would I do it?  No.
