anyone ever rented a Tesla for a long road trip? seeing as teslas don't support apple CarPlay, am very curious on how you managed to get past using Spotify and Waze?
heading to Italy in dec and of all the rentals available, the model Y seems to be the one that can provide the best boot space for me. sadly they don't have the touareg like in Switzerland last year cause that was mint.
-
@louisbosco I used to own one.. you can download apps, including Spotify on the system and login to your account to play music
-
@Alex cheers. would be okay if you own one. just wonder how much leeway they give in terms of Tesla account for a rental..
-
@louisbosco the car will have spotify installed on it, you then can loginto your spotify account in the car, like you can a netflix account on a hotel TV
-
@Alex ahh right! cheers! now to figure out Waze. but I guess I could probably just use a phone holder of some sort..

Has the exchange rate for CAD changed on the IHUK site recently? I snagged a couple coasters (champ!) with an exchange of 1.40 but, last I recall reading, I thought exchange was set at 1.325 (or something similar)….
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot Think the last time we reviewed it was March this year, no recent changes
-
@Alex Does that mean the new site is not calculating it correctly or that I’m living in the past?
-
@Alex guessing YouTube videos or maybe a pop down to the local dealer should sort that.
I remember reading somewhere there's a website that mimicked CarPlay onto the screen..
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot I guess the latter - i cannot recall the exact numbers of ever Fx we fix at historically, but a cursory glance suggests that we and Brooklyn clothing list at the same CAD price
-
@Alex cheers, mate! I didn’t realize it was so fluid. I recall you communicating a change back in December 2023, and I reckon I just had that number stuck in my head….

we review around once or twice a year, try to avoid doing it more than that. The problem comes with competing input inevitably. Once retailer in your region wants to sell for a higher price because its more accurate to the current rate, the other wants to sell for the lower price to stop increasing price. We are stuck in the middle trying to rationalise things.
-
Oh, that’s easy an easy fix! Lower price, please.
-
@Alex it might be a site or specific product issue. I checked my recent SS25 purchases and they were all converted at 1.325

@jordanscollected it's a intelligence test. Buy them and you have more money than brains

What determines an item becoming "continuous production"? I'm sure sales plays a part, but I also see lots of seasonal releases sell out in no time.
