        @RobeOfTheMagi 33B was my first IH piece...its crazy soft at this point and I will keep it forever!!

        I was going to throw the 295s into the mix. I LOVE the 14oz as a shirt denim.

          Hello everybody, just joined the forum. I was wondering if there some sort of Levi's/Iron Heart similarity chart. For example a Levis 501 is similar to a 666, a Levis 514 similar to a 633, etc. I have already measured my preferred jeans and know i can try and compare all measurements one by one on the size charts. But I would like to hear from actual people who have worn both or are trying to figure out the same as me.

          I couldn't find using the Search function. If by any chance someone has already seen a thread on this I'm apologizing in advance and can you point me in the right direction.

            @dirtyike i believe the 634 resembles a 60s era 501.

            In MY experience the 633 fits closer to an 80s/90s 501

            Those are the closest analogues that come to mind

                The IH-634 is based on the 1966 501. The IH-1955, wait for it, is based on the 1955 501. The cut of the Levi's 501 changes over time to meet the then current fashion sensibilities:

                I don't know if they do that with their other models, but I bet they do.

                    Is a future slim cut with a more pronounced taper too much to hope for

                    I'm pretty new to Iron Heart but I really love the IH denim fabrics. Most jeans I've worn previously have hems that are 6-7" (waist size 34-35), so fairly narrow hems, which I feel is flattering considering my pretty skinny legs. The IH cuts, even the 777, are still fairly wide over my ankles and tend to cover more of my boots/shoes than I prefer.

                    I would be over the moon over an IH fit with a more narrow hem. "Super slim tapered"? Am I hoping for too much?

                      Yes, sorry. It took a massive amount of persuasion to get Haraki to do the 555, I cant see him agreeing to anything slimmer. And it's not really our aesthetic I am afraid.

                        @V-P One option that a few of the forum members have tried is taking their jeans to a tailor and having them fitted exactly the way they wanted. It’s turned out well for those who have tried and might be something that would work for you.

                                        @V-P One other thing and this is just my opinion…pictures may be helpful for you, but what you need to decide is what you want out of a tailoring request. What works for the cut, what doesn’t, and where does it need to change?

                                        Once you have answered those questions, then you need to speak with a tailor and describe what you’re looking for. Slimmer jeans is not always helpful and more information is often needed. Working with a tailor is a two person job for success. What you want and what they can do.

                                          @goosehd Nothing drastic really. I basically want a 555 or 666 with a taper from the knee to 6.5-7". So just a slight taper compared to what is offered but it would make a difference to me. Some room in the thighs is fine, I'm not looking for a tight/skinny jean fit. I do like the 777's but they still often end up at 7.5-8" in my size. Ideally, I would also want something with a slightly higher rise than the 777's (though I still love my 777 19oz LHT's).
