Thanks, G.  It sounds like there shouldn't be a problem with buttons fitting in buttonholes regardless of the GA button selected.  That should be all the detail I need.

        Now get back to fishing.

          Hi guys,

          I'm around +-23 inch in IH-Shirts.

Should i size down to L (P2P 23,6) in the N1 Deck Jacket for a decent trim fit?

          Thanks in advance!

@trail and arrow I take an L in the N1 so I think you could just get away with an L too, but there would not be much room to layer

@trail and arrow - I have the same fit in shirts and wear XL in the N1 jackets, the L would be trimmer but a bit too snug for me with a UHF underneath.

@IH-GARY do you've got a fit pict somewhere?

I have an XL and it is fine if I layer heavily under it (which I do in midwinter) if I was ever to cop another I’d go L.

Couple of quick pix before I head out:

Similar to Reuben, if I pick up another colour I would go L with a view to only wearing with 1x layer outfits.

Thanks, @neph93 @IH-GARY, that is really helpful!

I'll go for an L then.

                      Cheers

I’m sure I’ve seen it on here somewhere but can’t quite remember where. I know someone made a vest out of their IH-2526j once.

I can’t see any practical issue other than the possibility that bodies on ss shirts may generally be cut differently to bodies on ls shirts? Having a taper put in while your at it is always an option anyway.

@cj You could try to measure the sleeves at the point where you would cut them and compare them to IH shortsleeved shirts. if it's a similar opening I think it will work, as I'm pretty sure the Body is similar.

                              Edit: Giles was faster.

I've done it on an IHSH-21 (blue chambray).

Ahhh I see. Now that you mention it, I do believe my short sleeve shirts are wider around the bicep although that feeling could be accentuated by the folding of fabric at the elbow. I'll do some measuring later to appease my curiosity… I guess I'm not that desperate, but chopping sleeves is a consideration for the future. Knowing myself, I'll probably leave it up to the universe as to whether a short sleeve hickory stripe shirt gets made haha

@JDelage Oh cool, what were the results? Any pictures?
