Ha! I love how my brain just made that "F" an "R" when I read it  😃

Yes, The IH-666S.  It was my first attempt at designing a jean and speccing a denim…..

I'm very proud of the 25oz denim.

And UHF.  H had given up on making it because the guy who weaves it "has moved to another mill" and I do not know where.  I "suggested" he found out where the guy had moved to and start making it again......

I absolutely love the 25 oz denim. My new pair was nice enough for me to switch from my overalls today. They are flying with me in my suitcase so I hope they are safe. Haha

        That's cool to know. Thanks.

The 25oz denim is next on my list as I have yet to experience that fabric.

You should receive a very healthy lifelong pension for this reason alone.  UHF's are what drew me to IH in the first place and are exactly what IH are all about (among other things of course).  There is truly nothing else like them on the market and the ones I own consistently get positive remarks and compliments on them from friends and strangers alike.  To me that speaks for itself and is a testament to the quality and uniqueness.

I'm inclined to say that the regular XHS is better than the double indigo XHS. You should get a pair asap.

yep, the UHF's are my favorite article of clothing by IH. I like the idea of a shirt that has it's roots with American Pioneers, made of Peruvian cotton and manufactured in Japan. And it's insanely warm.

It was popularised by American pioneers. It’s roots are from a couple of hundred years earlier and Welsh.

Ah, now I see where the confusion is. I was referring to the Western shirt having its origins with American Pioneers, not flannel. But, it seems it goes even further back to Mexican cattle herders.

I recently got a 666S-18 and am in love with the fit, it has knocked off Levis 501 from the 1st spot for me, no doubt its a very flattering yet functional fit. Only gripe is I did not dare to get it in the 21 oz  😞    because 666S-18 in W34 has thigh measurement of 12" but 666S-21 W33 ( actual waist is 34") has a thigh measurement of 11.5, that is ridiculously tight even for an average guys with quite slimmer legs :

All the 666 cuts work for me.  Guess why?  Yep, I designed them for me.  If by happy coincidence, you are a similar shape to me, then you're in luck, if you aren't sorry.  I asked Haraki f a particular new release was coming in ladies sizes recently, he shrugged and said "If Tom wants one, we will"….  We try not to abuse our privilege, but it is our playground  🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

We obviously strive for consistency across the same cut type, but this is not an exact science and sometimes we really screw up.  But we try to play that to ours and yours advantage, by having variance in sizing across the same cut in different denims, or indeed the same cut in the same denim, we can find a pair that suits more people....
