I've got weird body proportions, with extremely long legs. (If you want to get technical, my upper to lower body segment ratio is around 0.85, whereas 1 is more typical.)

This is a bad Photoshop GIMP job on a Private White x Alexander Leathers Café Racer I tried on last year. The jacket on the left has been extended by a couple of inches, whilst the one on the right is stock, obviously.

I think that the jacket on the left looks a better cut for me, as it balances out my upper and lower body proportions better, whereas the one on the right is maybe a bit short.

Anyone got an opinion? Am I just overthinking things as usual?

I prefer the look of the jacket in the right hand picture @Graeme.

I realize this is not too helpful, but something between the two would be ideal, IMO.

Right. There's something about the longer version making the collar look off. Can't put my finger on it though. That being said, they both look good!

right @Graeme cuz I think this cut should fit just like that. the left one seems a bit off cuz of the bigger opening. doesn't look too flattering imo. so i'd say right or chose a different model.

                        Thanks.

Both the left and right image were originally the same photo. I wasn't necessarily looking at getting this style, just trying to figure out an idea of what length suits me. And the general consensus seems to be a bit longer is better, though not necessarily as a badly edited photo of a motorcycle jacket. 😉

Schott offer a longer Café Racer, and I've seen similar vintage pieces.

thanks a ton for getting back @Finkster even though it wasn't that much of help hahaha 😉 …so i tried the chateau parka in olive yesterday and XL should be just fine. still gonna wait and see if others have any opinions or even similar jackets they can name before i'll cop one...

unfortunately both, the J39 and M11 are sold out, so i have to look for something else instead.

so here are the fit pics of the chateau parca (XL):

I wore a Canada Goose Ontario parka whilst working in Norway last year, and never had a problem with the cold - great for the low temp outdoor work but too heavy and bulky for wearing back in the UK

Damn that chateau parka is sweet.  Wish it got colder where I live to make it worth while to purchase.

Need jeans & work pants, made well with a tapper & interesting fabrics. Think I'm a  true 33 at the moment but my inseam is about 30.

                                          Any ideas???

633s-ii for the jeans? I really love the 633 cut. Slim, but roomy enough to be comfortable and that indigo-indigo looks awesome.

thanks @Anesthetist , people don't usually say thank you anymore, bunch of rude f^ckers, hahahaha

I've an age old problem of short inseam by the time they are hemmed they look like 634s.  i'll comb through my denim footlocker & find a pair that fit decent & rock out. until @bertoni spoke about it I never noticed the rise on my 555 02, now I am all about the rise.

the freakin internet has ruined me, hahahahaha
