Good fit! Do they drag at all when you wear chucks? I have not wore mine with them because they drag. I like to have a full break in my jeans so the back would get super tore up…..

No, I had these chainstitch hemmed so that they are a hair-width above the floor when I'm wearing Chucks.

Can someone refresh my memory and remind me what the difference between D's bootcuts and the regular IH-461S are?

This 1461 is the 10th anni re-edition of h-san first jeans ever made together with the 1634. black denim non-selvedge, no hidden rivets in back pockets. Fully lined back pockets. Measurements are a little bit different but pretty much the same as 461S. sized up one from my usual 30 like you in the 461S due to the thighs and knee.
