Just picked up these “new” 777UHRs off of eBay, only soaked. Does this look like marbling? How long do you think this would take to blend in?

I’d say barely any marbling. UHR fades really fast, so it’ll probably blend much sooner than later.

@popvulture OK, thanks, that’s what I was thinking. It’s been a while since I have had a pair of UHRs, but I remember them fading fast.

@Soleamp In my personal experience: Washing mine inside out has always kept them from marbling. I throw them in the machine and wash them with all my other blue stuff. I use regular detergent, washed on cold, then hang dry them. Sometimes I'll presoak them in the tub for about half an hour. Sometimes I don't.

I don't baby them at all, and the inside-out has always been the difference between marbling and not.

@Go-For-Chill I’ve never had an issue either doing it that way, which is my normal routine. I got this pair “new” on eBay with only one soak, never worn. I was surprised to see any marbling from just a soak…so maybe that wasn’t the whole truth. I ended up getting them pretty cheap, less than half of new, so I’m hoping to salvage them. I might try another hot wash, inside out and see if it helps calm things down

                Clay? out of 25oz... 😢

So at work, the bus got stuck in snow. My aid is 65+ so I had him gas while I and another pushed. Ended up using some boxed kitty litter and it worked. But sprayed all over my legs.
First I soaked in warm water. Looked clean until dry. Not clean. So then I washed normally inside out no spin. Still stained. Third I washed right side out warm with regular tide. The clay will not go away. I've warmed the spots and brushed vigorously (horsehair).
Anything that will keep these from goodwill I'm ready to do at this point. The fades are trash but I'll still wear them if they're not spotty. Any help is appreciated 1000045526.jpg 1000045525.jpg

If Goodwill is the alternative, just turn these into a vintage fade pair or a pair to experiment with. You could do a diluted bleach soak to lighten them up, or try some manual fade experiments like hitting them with a magic eraser on the creases while seated in different positions. Heck, you could turn them into shorts if you really wanted. You now own a pair that you can do absolutely anything to and not worry about. Silver linings and all that.

I have a pair like this that got bad lines all over the legs from hot machine washing right-side-out.
