Standard and strange has this boots with the same last but only size E with the rule “select a half size down from brannock”. Do you guys agree with that rule? If I’m a 10D on a brannock what size would you recommend for optimal fit?

I'd recommend going with your true Brannock size.

@Jimothy We haven't put a production order in yet as we are going to continue to run with the Horsehide option for the foreseeable future.

Sorry @Chesson, in the brown misterlou thread you mentioned a chromexcel version – didn't realize it only applied to the brown misterlou. So will the black continue to be provided in horsehide even though no restocks are indicated? And I guess my question still stands, will the brown version be available online anytime soon?

There is the ability to request an email alert on the product page, and it is marked as continuous production.

I've had my eye on these for a minute, looks like the perfect engineer boot. Are these built to the same specs as the Mr. Lou sold on Wesco's website? Also curious if it's it possible to get these in any widths narrower than D, Wesco only lists D and E as well.

Wesco do batches of the Mr. Lou and sell them through the website to partner retailers. The principal design is the same in terms of the last used, toe shape, heel cup, stitching etc. some details may change between batches, most obviously the leather.

I suspect they make batches in D and E widths as they are the most common. However Wesco do a full custom service and it should be possible to get a custom version with a narrower footbed.

I’d recommend emailing Giles, Alex or Chesson to discuss it. Living in Europe as I do, it is easier and less costly to arrange custom builds through them.
