IHM-01 - Deck Jacket

My thoughts on the jacket:

It's a lot lighter than it looks due to the synthetic fleece lining.  Although natural product purists may disapprove,  the fleece provides a good warmth to weight ratio and does not itch.  I wish the fleece was black instead of brown.

The jacket is warm but not extremely so.  I wouldn't wear it to explore the Arctic in winter but think it would be suitable for temperatures between -3 and 7 degrees without extra layers underneath.

I like the neck protection because my neck is always the first think to get cold and I find often find myself raising my shoulders to keep it warm.

There is one inside pocket with a horizontal opening.  I would have liked the opening to be vertical or there to be a zipper.  I like to carry my phone in my jacket pocket and am not sure how secure it would be.

I'm with DrPat on this.  I think the color of the fleece is the only thing rubbing me the wrong way.

They told me mid-Octoberish. Seems they are still working out some details on the lining.

Haraki is slightly increasing the weight of the sleeve mid lining to make the arms a shade warmer…..

i like the fact that this is so different to the Mister Freedom Deck Jacket.  Keeping an eye over here to see how the final production item turns out

I'm a huge fan of Mister Freedom clothes, one of my favorites but this jacket so much cooler.  Maybe not as traditional (im not sure on that fact) but still cooler

We are in production and sizing has been set, but until they physically arrive with me, I trust nothing I see or hear.  So effectively when sizing is published they are up on the web site.
