IH-888-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Ind/blk

@ShopatIronHeart hey guys from memory these were due for late September. Have you by any chance received some update on a delivery window?
Many thanks, -
@tvaillant75 No updates at the moment, but I would hope October will be the one, we are just waiting for Japan to give us the nod they are ready.
-
NEEEEOOOONNNN blue. Killer!! I’m currently working on the 25oz XHS, these ibs will be my next 888.
-
The colours on these are insane ...
-
Nice! The sunlight really brings out the contrast in blues. Been wanting to pick up a pair once they restock.
-
And… restock notification submitted. I figure with how often these are released, picking up a pair for wear later will be a good thing. Keeps from waiting when I’m finally ready. You know, build that bench strength.

Middle 3 buttons on my fly have been regularly popping open lately after stretching. I took them to the seamstress asking for a couple stitches on each button hole. Got a weird look and a lot of back and forth but hoping she can hook it up. Funny there was no mention about the weight of the fabric, she was just really concerned I wouldn’t be able to button them afterward. I should’ve told her about my bruised thumbs after the first few days of wear…
-
@Oaktavia they are really taking off now mate, you’ve made XHSib my next pair for sure
-
@Oaktavia Looks great! I’m wearing mine right now but only initial soak so far. Would you soapy soak these before moving to machine wash? And spin cycle or no? Not sure how prone these might be to marbling.
-
@natefreezy I always soak to lessen the likelihood of marbling just to be safe. It's easy.
Edit: I reread your question. To finish answering and to clarify, I also machine wash after a soak. No spin cycle.
-
@Oaktavia Thanks! Makes sense. I was also wondering whether the first wash with these should be soapy soak or can go straight to washing machine (with aforementioned pre soaking). Maybe it doesn’t matter but was curious since you went that route.
-
@natefreezy do you mean first soak and wash before wearing them? No need for soap. If it's the first wash after wearing them and they are dirty, definitely use soap.
-
@Oaktavia Hey no not initial soak before wearing (I did that already), but first wash after wearing which I’m coming up to. Was trying to figure out whether to soapy soak in tub or use washing machine. You did former then the latter so was just curious!
-
@natefreezy OK I understand now. To prevent marbling, I soak in a tub of just warm water for one hour. Then I wash in my machine normal cotton cycle with no spin. I turn the jeans inside out. After the wash, I learned recently to lay out a couple large towels on the floor and lay the soaking pants on top of them (with no spin, the pants will be dripping soggy wet). Then put two more large towels on top of the pants. Next, roll the towels and jeans up and kneel on them as I roll them up. This removes a lot of water that makes it less messy to walk the jeans outside to dry and takes much less time to dry. I think that covers it all...
