Fit is great on these. Will most likely get them hemmed even though the selvedge is super cool

            @mudhogen Looks great honestly 👍

Was kind of aiming for this fit while ordering, but I think I sadly made my first judgement error 😕

Since I've let those hemmed and cannot return, I'm tempted to try to shrink it some.

@ShopatIronHeart : How would you guys go on with this ? Try to wash at 40C° or directly 60C° ? To give an idea I ordered a 35, but should have gone for 34, so it could shrink a full size.

Thanks guys ! If other members have idea's, welcome 🙂

@Giles Hey Giles thx for taking the time to answer.

I read the product page and your excerpt but it says "....when washed according to our care guidelines"; I was thinking about greatly ignoring those 🤣

Ok joke aside, I guess I'll just try and see then, could be interesting for other members down the road 👍

                    Hi there,
copped myself a pair of 721 Chinos a few days ago. Was lucky to stumble across (a long time missing) size 32 in your shop.
Before I will take them up, I will give them a machine wash.
The care label says "40 C wash" and your Care Guidelines on the product page it states:
"We recommend washing this garment at 30°C** with a low (or no) spin cycle."

I assume it would be safe to wash them at 40°C, but would you advise otherwise? They will be washed numerous times over time due to their colour (beige/khaki). And cotton does shrink over time, so just as well get most of the shrinkage out already now...?

                    Cheers!

Thanks for the chocolate by the way! Much appreciated.
                    🙂

@Adero Hey man, I'll try to help, but please understand this is my experience only, and you should treat an item of this price nicely imo 🙂

If you read 2 or 3 posts above, I asked if this could be shrunk because I did sized it too big, and the answer was that it would be difficult.

So I did try to wash at 30C and 40C with low spin (400) and the damn thing would effectively not move 😂

I could only shrink it by putting it in the dryer at medium heat for 25 minutes (kids don"t do this at home !)

Long story short I think you're very safe at 30C or 40C !

Sorry @Giles , I forgot to report the data 😕

For those interested, with the dryer, The item went from a size 35 to 34 only in waist and knee, and it lost 2 cm in the inseam.

All other measurements did not move at all.

Again be very careful ! Medium heat is not nothing and I did pull the item out of the dryer every 5 minutes from the 10th minute to measure it 😃 Since I was in a public place (I don't own a dryer) I let you imagine how I did look...

@Adero it is safe to wash them up to 40, but to be safe when it comes to shrinkage, we don't reccomend above 30.

Thanks both of you for replying superduper swift.
They are already in the machine now, at a 40C cycle. Couldn't wait..lol.
I will report back with measurements, for others knowledge and for potential future use.
Am not really worried as by experience, nothing really happens at 40 anyway, but thought I could just as well ask.
                          Cheers.

Ok, I’m reporting back after a 40°C wash cycle and hang-drying: nothing really happened. The "most noticeable" changes occurred in the waist (which is understandable am thinking as I had tried them on) and the rear rise, which both differed by about 0.5 cm.
The remaining measurements are negligible, within just a few millimetres of change, so nothing worth mentioning.
It also comes down to how precisely I took the original measurements.
Now lets pray I don't eff-up the actual shortening... 🙂
