Man, I thought this would be true but I'm in love with this cut. I need to lose a bit of weight for them to fit perfect, but I already knew that/that's already in progress. I can tell these are eventually going to be my favorite pair. Thanks again, @Graham!
I read through the whole thread from the beginning, and just to confirm the state of affairs with this cut: it's in continuous production, but mostly it's sold in Japan, with a few pairs making their way over here? And when it's available we can special order with no returns?

@selbstzweck. I can answer part of your question. This last release was not the norm. Those were never suppose to make it to the west but the IH crew was able to secure a few pairs in limited sizes. When I bought mine they were offered on the IH website I was not obligated to buy without a return. Was bussiness as usual as any other pair. Now about them being a core cut i am not sure. I think it may has something to do with demand and if there is enough of it to warrant a run without having alot of unsold pairs. So it has to make financial sense. I think somebody from the IH crew can give some more insight.

@selbstzweck the recent batch was a surprise that Haraki initiated. There are no plans to run these again specifically, but that does not mean that we will not.
