Lightweight IH day to deal with the heat: debuting the 212 with my 666 14oz OD and service boots.
The IHSH-212 fabric is better thought of as broadcloth than chambray in how it feels, looks, and drapes IMO: just to help prospective purchasers know what they'd be getting into. It does put the "iron" in "Iron Heart," meaning it will require ironing or steaming to maintain its crisp look, and not just for hem roll. I don't think I've ever ironed an IH shirt, but this is likely to be the first.
There seems to be very subtle shirring along the back yoke and I love the darted sleeves. All in all a fantastic fabric and cut, and a little something different from the Stubborn Crew.
I love that IH refuses to be boxed in. Ditch the pockets and you could sneak this shirt in under a suit.
I love the 14oz denim and the early promise of the OD evo. Some vertical falling and horizontal slub fades already in evidence in the indigo under the fugitive pigment.
My first OD pair. These were also my first 666, and this is my new cut henceforth.

I was chatting to H today about the indigo Madras check. A Chambray in its purest sense is a coloured warp and a white weft. So whilst this is a plain weave, it is not technically a chambray. When I get to the bottom of what it should properly be described as, we'll update.
