Got 3 plants out of pots and into the ground outside my office this weekend
(From back to front)
Blue spruceHybrid black white japanese pine that i wired for a few years to give some character
Tiny juniper
The goal is to keep these fairly small and pruned with the pine likely getting a root prune and going back into shallow bonsai tray after fattening up for at least a couple more years in the ground

First female cone on my Wollemi Pine. Had male cones for years. Looking forward to getting some seeds for the first time.
My Giant Redwood is also starting to pack on some size.

Here's our Wollemi. Never had a cone, did not even consider it a thing - Doh.....Do they need another of the other sex to produce?

Wow that’s a cracker! Strange there is no cones yet on it. You get male and female cones on the same tree. Mine is planted on its own.

The seeds go for crazy money online. They are still pretty rare.
Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasel.

Yeah, you 100% right, thanks. They start at 12 feet above the ground, so not in my typical line of sight.......Doh...
