Those oxidised snaps would like great on the indigo version as well

First major test of the self imposed moratorium on buying… feeling a touch of cold turkey already

          😉

I’m still feeding the monkey and excited about the arrival of my 3rd IH shirt
(my first black-overdyed) in just a few days ! 😎

          P.S.: I picked it up @Kentaurus today… what a glorious shirt !  🙂

Finally cooled down a bit in London and had this morning to try this on properly. It is an incredible CPO, to me feels much more like a jacket than a shirt but then I've never owned a denim shirt as heavy as this. I'm glad the measurements on my S were slightly big, I'll definitely be wearing this in the colder months with something thick underneath. Strangely it also looks and feels great with just a t shirt and I can see the denim moulding to my frame in the same way jeans do. The snaps were what held me back from buying this a while ago, the new ones are lovely. There is a blueish hue to them that matches the over-dyed indigo beautifully. I'll post some photos soon, cameras are currently being serviced, mobile pics of this won't do it justice.

Has anyone washed their shirt-jacket? How long did you wait? Did you soak it or use a machine?

I have the non over dyed version. Machine washed it right out of the bag. Cold water, inside out and air dried. No problems.

I gave mine a soak to get rid of the creases along the arms. Won't be washing this until it really needs it and then by hand (because I have an awful machine)..

Need some expert advice. I bought the last xxl on the site but took a gamble on the sleeve length, which in my opinion, didn’t pay off. I do like the rest of the fit but feel like I enough room to size down. I live in Arizona so I never intended to layer, a tee underneath pretty much.

So question for you all, are the sleeves as long as I think they are? And should I size down based on my intended use?

I cuffed one side just to compare.

Yes, the sleeves look really long. I don’t know your usual IH size but it looks like you could go down a size.

I think it looks good. Size in chest and shoulder is good. I prefer longer arms, and I'm not sure that sizing down would result in that much of a reduction in sleeve length. Sleeves usually run longer as this gear is designed with bikers in mind. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree that the body of the shirt looks really good on you. You might want to reach out to IHUK and find out what the sleeve length might be in a smaller size, which might end up being tight through the chest and shoulders.

IMHO it looks great on you. i’d cop a set of nekked mermaid things to put on the cuffs and rock it showing them off.

Thank you for the input everyone. I took a gamble on the sleeves because IH verified this one came a bit longer than advertised (over half an inch). I might just wait until these are restocked and specify for shorter sleeves.

@brobles it doesn't look bad. Do you plan to wear it buttoned up? If you plan on wearing it buttoned up, sizing down may make it too tight in the chest.

I went for a size that allowed me to wear it like an overshirt (not buttoned up) which also meant shorter sleeves, but I still end up cuffing them because they're still long.

Fit is a personal thing so this is only my opinion but if it was me I’d size down. Please bare in mind that I like a trimmer fit on most things though.

I will add that the arms look long and loose, even when cuffed and you seem to have a lot of room in shoulders too. Length and chest look good if that is the fit you want, but you could afford to go down a size here also, if you wanted a slimmer fit.

That is a size down job all day long. Anyone who thinks differently is mad IMO
