So I just ordered some custom whites. Lace-up bounty hunters from Baker’s….I went with an 8” model. I traditionally go with a 7” but decided to try 8”.

As I look through pics of 8” boots I am wondering if I went too tall....any thoughts/experience with 8” boots?

I have a pair of 8" Wesco Jobmasters, and I don't wear them nearly as often as I wear my 6" White's and Vibergs.  More effort to lace up, heavier, less flexible/comfortable.  Whether you'd think the same about going from a 7" high boot to an 8" high boot, I don't know.

I just wet my knickers (that'd be a no).

Toyo may use the same mill as one of the mills we use, it would be almost impossible for them not too.

[emoji23] I’m glad I could bring some entertainment to your day. I was slightly perplexed when I read it!

Maybe your misinformed friend is confusing Iron Heart with Mr. Freedom?  Sugarcane works with them kinda regularly.

Mr. Freedom and Iron Heart have a very similar aesthetic, so I can see how one could confuse the two brands (read that in the most sarcastic tone of voice possible).

Well, I thought I was well informed so it took me back a bit when I read that. Also turns out that’s how he had confused himself with it.

Toyo Enterprise owns SC and also produces for Mr. Freedom. It's just my personal experience but their products are nowhere near IH's quality.

Just bought Mrs. Neph a pair of Livid Jeans - Ava. Was trying to get her into IH but she refuses anything without some stretch. Hopefully she can try a pair of 555’s if we get to G-port at xmas.

Nudie. For the same reasons as in Mrs. Neph's case. Also, too heavy denim is not favoured as it doesn't drape very well. IMO Men's cuts look best on very athletic or small ladies and don't favor all kinds of bodytypes.

Marcia likes Citizen of Humanity.  Their high-rise cuts, in particular.  We all know what I like, but the other Japanese brand I've been favoring recently is the Japan Blue hi-rise tapered.

All mine are 8" and up @Dstauffer as @Neph93  says ankle support is good and to me, anyway, 7" is betwixt and between.  And I think  8" and up look better

My girlfriend bought ”sweater stone” which should be better than tuft remover -machine, but I think that both just cuts off tuft from fiber so it will be worster later.

Whatever you do you’re removing fabric from the shirt. Personally I don’t see the need and have never done it with mine. A little pilling is just part of the aging process. Wabi-sabi and all that.
