IHSH-33-OD - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
@Ross I feel like the measurements between od and non-od don't differ a lot. In other od products a xxxl was often basicly Like a non od XXL. Now theres not a lot of difference. Is that because a change in the process or just my wrong perception?
-
@FlavourFade We haven't measured the new run yet - So you're probably jumping the gun a little looking at the charts as they are...
Charts will be updated asap
-
@Ross I am sorry, I just assumed the charts were already updated without looking it up!

Iron Heart Germany will also restock this -
@FlavourFade heads up
-
@goosehd thanks !! I already have a beautiful faded 33-od, was just curious if I should size down in the "normal" 33
-
@FlavourFade Are you taking into consideration the shrinkage caused by the OD process,as it relates to the measurements?
-
@Jett129 I am not sure what you mean, I always assumed that a OD would be a lot smaller than a non OD in the same size because I always read about how aggressive the process is. But when I compared the measurements of the new run the differences are not even 0.5" in most areas. It's just something that surprised me

-
@FlavourFade I see what you’re saying but to really make an accurate comparison we would need need to know the pre OD measurements of this particular run of shirts. Maybe these shirts started out a lot bigger and ended up really close to the non OD version.
-
@Jett129 my od from last run is a little bigger than this run but could of course just be one that ran a little bigger than average. But tbh I don't feel like it's important, I focus on the new measurements anyway
-
Not sure if I missed it. Is this batch using the new od process?
-
@Tago-Mago Thank you
-
@jebrand @Tago-Mago Just to confirm, yes, this new batch is overdyed using the newer direct dye process. No other changes

-
@SamD do you know by chance if the last run was the old method?
-
@bluemantra No, the previous run (which restocked April '24) was the first to be overdyed with the newer direct dye. Models before that, however, would've been sulphur-dyed, but we've been slowly phasing out this method due to the environmental risks it poses in production.
-
@SamD what’s the difference in the final result?
