@SKT I know Im dredging up old posts, but this is so true. Giles HoF pair convinced me to buy my first pair of IHs. It basically converted me to the brand. If I was married it would've led to a divorce at this point.

I see these are sanforized but has anyone noticed any shrinkage in the inseam after washing?

@nytimes_gaiden, i own a pair and have notice no inseam shrinkage. But i only washed them in cold water and no dryer. Not sure if you wash hot and stick them in the dryer, you may get some but i dont think it will be much.

after getting a 293 a year two drops ago, i've been waiting for these. super stoked. Glad the sizing chart generally retained the same proportions with having a somewhat higher rise for a 634. First pair of new 634's for me as well!

First day with these compared to a reasonably worn od version of itself. Wondering if this might be my favorite of all the denim I've tried from IH.

@pechelman The 18 is my favourite and the sleeper in the lineup. It is very versatile in that I can wear it year round temperature wise, has awesome fading potential, and looks damn good.

How is the crispiness of this denim? Is this more comparable to the 21 oz fabric or the UHR or somewhere in-between? I read somewhere here is that this fabric is more breathable. Is that correct?

@the246guy personally, I find them more breathable than my 21oz SBG (can't comment on the indigo version) but crispier, with a nice coarseness in texture.

@T4920 Thanks for the feedback. Could you also comment on how this denim stretches over time? For example., my 634 SBG is at it'S perfect fit after 6 months. Not too tight, not too loose on the waist. Just about right. I measured the size of the waist of my SBG and it says that I have to take Tag Size 32 on the 18 oZ whereas the Tag Size 31 would fall short of about 1 inch and if I can gain that 1 inch with wear then I will go with Tag Size 31.

Wow the 18oz fabric is gorgeous. Being used to my 19oz lefties, it’s hard to believe that these are only 1oz lighter. These are much more breathable! They seem like the best of all worlds: mid-heavy weight but breathable, stiff but not restrictive, textured/coarse/hairy on the outside but comfortable from the outset. It took a LOT of effort to button 19oz lefties when new. These were a synch. Also the indigo is lovely and deep. Very happy with my new jeans . Lefties going into hibernation til autumn.
