The weft is cone dyed or dyed all the way through to the core. Or as I understood it to be. Meaning the inside of the denim is tough to fade. I see no fading at all on my pair.

I have noticed that the weft seems almost black. Especially where the warp has worn all the way through.
The cuffs are fading but with not nearly as much contrast as the rest of the jeans.

@alexwords nice acquisition , this denim is little more stubborn compare to your PBJ/Blue owl but It does fade beautifully . I have to take mine out of closet .
