Just received this(exchange for smaller size), fits better now, looks like needs some break in time. Slightly tight, as needed.

Do they normally have some break in time? (so that you have to wear it for the couple of hours first day and increase the duration step by step).
do you apply any shoe-care stuff on them before first use?

some break in depending on the leather and if they're lined. As for treatment- nah, wear the shit out of them. They look good!

@steelworker is right. Just wear them. If your feet hurt then take a break, put them back on the next day. The double mids are the biggest issue. If you haven’t had them before, it takes some getting used to and won’t become flexible for a while. No treatment needed out of the box. Wear them a season, then you can see.

                    Thank you.

the reason why I am asking about the treatment is because right now we have early spring.
and we have mix of mud, melted snow, water and salt detergents on the streets. and this conditions are usually very aggresive to the shoes… it could kill the leather easely if no protection applied(this is correct for regular dress shoes).

Ah, right. You need to think about what you want. If you want them to remain new looking then you just can’t wear them in those kind of conditions. But where’s the fun in that?

The salt detergent is the worst thing. The rest is just dirt and water and these boots are made to work in that. You can use the Bee Oil and Bee Seal on the midsoles to prevent water and salt getting in. That is wise. The leather is waxed and will resist water to a degree, but it’ll sit in the top layer (with the salt) whatever you do. A vinegar wash every now and again helps to remove salt. Never dry them with a hear source (wall oven/radiator/fireplace/underfloor heating) as that will damage the leather and the welt.

They are tough conditions to deal with (same as where I live) but these are tough boots. My first custom Boss (oil tan leather) are on their third winter. They look like they are too. But they keep my feet warm and dry and still look great while doing it.

These are sick boots… but a bit pricey though.

                          I think they’re nice,although, not my thing,but for $699 I could do a crazy cool build. Since they’re the 100th Anniversary boots,do you think they’re collectible?
