        @Chris:

What size did you order, I can help you with a recommendation!

        @Authentic04:

        Leather Configuration: Single Tone
        Rough Out Configuration: No
        Toe Vamp Leather: Brown Smooth
        Counter Leather: Brown Smooth
        Upper (Shaft) Leather: Burgundy Domain
Lace Design: Semi Lace to toe
        Height: 8"
        Thread Color (upper): White
        Leather Liner: No Thanks
        Hardware: Brass Eyes & Hooks
        Midsole: Single
        Leather Half Slip: Yes please
        Edge: Brown
        Heel Lifts: Standard
        Sole: Vibram 430 Mini Vib
        Outsole Stitching color: White
        Steel Toe: No Thanks
        Toe Cap: No Thanks

I ended up ditching the half slip. I'll most likely do a double mid sole and full lace to toe next time. Overall I'm 100% satisfied with my choices.

They've been on my feet for over an hour with no problems.

Can anyone comment on wesco shoe fit compared to the jobmasters? I'd like to get a pair of shoes.

I ordered a 10EEE they may be a touch wide but it's making the break in easier! I usually get a lot of pressure on my instep but I don't have any in these.

Anyone have any recommendations or experience with the JH Classics?
I've been looking for an oxford like casual shoe I can wear daily when it's warmer out and I've seen some of the makeups from Wesco Japan and they look pretty sweet. I like what I've seen with the White's oxford for Bakers, but I really want some Wescos.
Still need to order my Walking Boots as well, but that'll have to wait until this summer so I have them by the time the summer has gone away.
I'm thinking lace to toe, Vibram 1010 sole but I'm undecided on leather. Thinking maybe redwood rough out, brown or brown domain rough out or either of those in their smooth side versions too…
Also weird question: could these be worn without socks?

I have The Bootery pair in Olive Burlap. The design, construction and materials are all excellent. I especially like the fit which is comfortable but secure. They are easy to lace and unlace, because I think, something about the design means you don't have to lace tightly.

I wouldn't wear without socks. I suppose you could, but my guess is it wouldn't take long before they developed a pretty ripe smell. They are also quite rigid so unless the fit is perfect you'll probably get blisters.

Your ideas sound great, that brown roughout [emoji1419]

Thanks for the reply, that's the info I was looking for in regards to socks. Figured they were pretty hefty so it would be a no go! But I'm okay with that, I have a pair of Yuketen's for that.
I think a brown domain rough out or redwood rough out would be great, since they have a slightly lighter color than the brown. We'll see!

Yes, we have a little left, but you can only order the red lining in a red boot due to the thickness!

Quick question for @Chris at Wesco: is "slate" leather available for a pair of Romeos? Not available on the virtual boot builder but I think it'd make a great looking shoe in roughout. Leaning between that color (if available) and burlap right now.

@hopsbreath Yes it is! We are currently making a pair for our Custom Fit fella. We just have to get it in as a special request right now. It should be there hopefully within the week!

@Authentic04 I must have slipped on responding to your sizing question. We generally recommend a half size down on the low heel round toe of our Jh Classic or our Robert William.

Jobmaster owners: Anyone have both lined and unlined Jobmasters? Or is there anyone with unlined that can share their opinions? I'm getting ready to build a pair and I'm considering getting them unlined to save some money. The pair I already own is lined, so I'm not sure how what the pros and cons are for unlined.

                                      Thanks!

I've got both lined and unlined jobbies.  In the end, I don't personally feel that it makes that much of a difference.  I could see the advantages in a non-lace up boot to help them maintain their structure.  With lace-ups, I'd say you'd be fine either way and it would just come down to personal preference.  I've got a pair of rough out unlined Bosses and they tend to "slouch" a bit more than I'd prefer but it's no deal breaker to me.

Thanks! That's perfect. I was reading somewhere that for working in your boots, in a job that requires protection around your ankles and shins, lined are the way to go. But for whatever the heck I do at work, I don't really see the need.

Both my Wescos are lined (Boss and Jobmasters) so I suppose it's time to branch out a little 🙂

How's the comfort for day-today use? How's the break-in? Any difference there?

I'd say it's a quicker break-in with one or more less layers.  I spend 12+ hours a day in my steel toe unlined jobmasters for work and I don't have any issues whatsoever.  They're comfortable while being tough as nails.  I've been wearing the same jobmasters for the last ~5 years (with a rebuild about 6 months ago) where most guys I work with are lucky to get a year out of a pair of Red Wings or something similar.
