Selfishly, I want you to make the jacket…but I'd feel terrible if a lot of folks on here said "make it!" and didn't order, as has happened in the past (tho I'd pay for it right now if need be...)

So I completely understand you not making it if the demand isn't there - maybe do it in a less special black denim or Overdye some of the indigo ones?

Other then the hardware, what is the difference with the IH-9526J Type3?

It's a different type of jacket.  The IH-526J is based on a Levi's Type III.  The IH-101J-BLK is a based on a Lee 101J.

The denim is a selvedge superblack on the IH-101J-BLK, it is not selvedge on the IH-9526J

So the SB 101J sample was a tad big on me.  Hot soaked it and threw it in the dryer.  I think im gonna do it again to get all the shrink out and then i'll get some pics for everyone.

I was gonna inquire in the 888 thread about the possibility of black for the new jeans cut. But great news the 101J-BLK is happening! Black selvedge would be awesome in the new cut.

If sizing of the IH-101J-BLK is close to the IH-101J then I'm in.
