Friday, my opinion on the Whites/ Viberg comparison is that Viberg are finished neater, just not $250 - $400 neater. However, I guess at this end of the price spectrum personal taste is more important than cost in certain respects.

those insole come standard with your whites Andi? Also how do you compare the finishes compared to you vibergs? stitching, leather cuts, sole trimmings, etc. t.a

No, the insoles are my "part/ contribution" to this boot!;)
I love my Vibergs and the finish is a bit finer imho. But quality wise isn't a noticable difference.
I ve gone for a 9E in this and my usual Viberg size is 9D. Despite they are an E wide the white's are tighter and feel like a glove, which was painfull first two days. The Vibergs give more room to my foots. Lengthwise they are similar.

Further is remarkable that the white's soles are brighter and much stiffer than the Viberg ones. But after a week they re getting more and more comfy!

          Hope this helps you bro!

                    Hey Andi,

do you compare US with US or UK with US sizing? I´am wondering because I had my hands on some Vibergs (UK 11) which were great and now I´am struggling with either taking the Whites in 11,5 or 12 US?

I have a pair of Viberg Service boots that are size 10.  I ordered a pair of White's Semi Dress in size 10.5, and they were too big.  I'll probably end up with a size 10.  My US size in most athletic shoes (Nike, Mizuno, New Balance, Asics, Puma) is 11.

EDIT: Width isn't going to make a lot of difference, Finn.  With lace up boots, you can generally tie them tighter or looser enough to compensate for the difference.  I'd say go with your normal width, i.e., if you usually buy standard width shoes, do that with these, too.

                                          Learn from Chris' mistake.

                                            would an insole fix it?

I think they were about a half size too large.  The arch support was pressing into the ball of my foot and I couldn't adjust them into a fit that I liked with an insole.  Maybe others would be able to do so, but I just wasn't happy.

                                            This is the important part!
The lesson here is that you should send in the sizing kit to confirm your size if you can't try on a pair.  It may take a while longer, but it's worth it.  Besides, a custom order is going to take two months anyway, so what's an extra few days?
