White's Boots

He apparently lost his nerve and is currently wearing his lovely deerskin boots. Wimp.
EDIT: sorry for the terrible dark pic.

My new White's SD are in from Baker's. Went with the "classic brown" leather this time around, with tapered heel, and 1/4" lowered heel. Couldn't be happier with them. According to Baker's, the "classic brown" leather is dry-tanned and will take a polish nicely and patina with age similar to the dress brown. It will develop a crackly finish and patina fairly quickly.
Here's the full config:

I tried to color correct these as best I could, but in real life they are more of a deep brown and less saturated in color:

Blaster, I love that dropped and lowered heel. Looks super classic. Well done. General G, can't wait to see those break in. Beat 'em up!!!

hey guys, do you get indigo stains on your boots? and if so, how do you clean them off?

Picked up my new (to me) Hathorns from Urb yesterday, really pleased with them. They look like a sturdy, casual boot.

So, I've been thinking all along that I would be ordering some configuration of the Semi-Dress, but now I am wondering if I should consider also the 6" Farmer Rancher. I like the extra leather heel cap (or whatever that piece is called at the back of the boot) and the generally more rugged look. I had in mind that the Farmer Rancher or Smokejumper would be taller than I want, but I see they are available in 6", and that's actually what my current Chippewas are - though for some reason the FR and SJ have more eyelets.
Anyway, can anyone (1) post a picture of SDs and FR back to back in order to compare height; or (2) testify to the feel of a 6" FR in comparison to the SD? Does it feel much higher on the leg? Is the fit and comfort more or less the same?
Thanks!
