Reading through the thread, maybe a realistic dispatch timeframe, i.e, as in the number of days it will take to post the item put into your ads would really help both buyer and seller

agree. The seller should be as specific as possible as to when an item will ship. This will eliminate any confusion between buyer and seller. It sucks sending money off to someone and not hearing anything about your package, but at the same time, we all have to work and it can be tough getting to the post office

I usually handle that issue via PM with the buyer/ seller prior to a deal being struck.

I have a job interview on friday and have to show up in a suit. I hate suits and don't have to wear then in my current job, so I never got a new one after the one I bought 10 years ago for my exam.

I just got the date today and testfittet the ugly thing. Man, it almost feels like the 80s with the wide legs. and stuff. I hate it, but there is no way I can show up in a suit jacket with bluejeans, shirt and a tie.  😞 ::)

Damn business traditions. I'm working in the wrong industry.

I know everyone wants stuff asap when they buy it, but people that don't understand that post offices are only open limited hours a day, which also line up with most job schedules are just a pain in the ass. I'm sorry you bought something Monday and I didn't have a chance to ship it out until Saturday, let me tell my boss I need time away from work to ship a shirt, I'm sure he will understand. (Sarcasm)

It blows my mind seeing people standing in huge lines at the post office.  I can usually print a label online, package a shipment and drop it off (yes, even after normal business hours) in less time than most people wait in line to talk to a USPS rep.

The only time I'm required to stand in line and talk to a human is when I ship internationally, but once you learn the customs forms, that's simple.

Probably still a first world problem, but here goes:
I listed a rowing machine on eBay.  It's big, it's heavy, it would be a huge hassle to pack and ship, so I listed it for local pickup only.  Five minutes after the auction closed, I get an email from the winning bidder-

"Can you ship it to me in Kentucky?"

Honestly, that's the part that pisses me off about the whole episode.  He was the first bidder, and he actively continued bidding throughout the auction.  If he had asked at any point during that five days, we'd both be happier right now.  Well, he's probably happy- I cancelled the transaction and he got his money back. As far as he's concerned, it's no big deal.
