The Australian property market is completely and utterly mental. Yet anyone who expresses that opinion is called a "Doom and Gloomer", and considered crazy.
Today a two bedroom mid century house in Mosman and a 19th century three bedroom house in Balmain both sold for around $2.3 million.
Yes, they're in desireable neighbourhoods, but they're not particularly big places, and need a certain amount of renovation work. Though I suspect that the Mosman house will shortly have a date with a bulldozer. Demolition is a popular pastime.

I hear you Graeme. We've got a very similar situation in Seattle. People paying $750-$1M for the dirt a house is on so they can demo the house and build something new. Problem is the lot is so small and the buyer wants a giant home so they build up. Way up.

It's a dude publicising his own opinion as fact, different story. If you follow this path, you have vanished up your indigo ring piece (unpop opinion?).

Hella dumb…..

I should know better than to read this type of article, since it always makes me think how ridiculous most of these "expert" opinions are. All of this just preys on the insecurities of dudes who are afraid that they'll ruin their first pair of $300 jeans.

Ugh. 98°F/37°C today. And the Weather Channel helpfully notes that it "feels like 111°F/44°C." What makes it worse is that two days ago I was in Vancouver, where it's currently 61°F/16°C. It makes Houston seem so much worse that it normally feels.

I may have ranted this before but the US postal system allows it's delivery people to skip your house if your yard sprinkler is on. What kind of crap is that? The postal system used to be famous for being out in the heat, rain, cold, and snow….but apparently my sprinkler is too much.

In the last 48 hours, I've had 3 pieces of IH gear be covered in some form of baby expulsion. Missed a call from Wesco, leading to an extra week wait for my already past due boots. Had the interior of my car covered in Chocolate Milk Shake, and spent an unreasonable amount of dough to not have anything to show for it. All for the joy of being a Dad…I may be getting hosed

Been busy lately. My dog and best friend in the world just died pissing himself and twitching on the floor… can still smell the stinking stench of death... Stupid misunderstandings on the internet. Then the "half-full" tank of propane turned out to be completely empty. Also purchased something "stainless steel" and "made in Italy" with "free shipping" and received something "made in India" chrome plated garbage with additional charges for shipping upon arrival. The new puppy needs medical attention. Jeans have a blowout too now. Happy days... On the bright side, I am well on my way to becoming a country musician. Just need more IRON HEART western-wear and a guitar.
