Temperatures for Melbourne over the past few days (Note, this is in celsius, not farenheit):

Tuesday: 42.8
Wednesday: 41.7
Thursday: 43
Friday (forecast): 44

My point is that you have the power to do something about it. You're clearly a bright guy. You could transfer to Berkeley if you hate hot weather.

It's going great! Yep, started just this year. And I don't hate hot weather enough to transfer, it's more that I look forward to colder weather and it seems strange that we haven't really had any. I do know I live in California, but come on… Gimme something

The clever repair I did on Tommys macbook isn't so clever after all. Apparently the logic board is dead and Apple are quoting me £500 to repair.

Stay tuned for a fire sale of the remainder of my diminishing wardrobe, looks like I'm out of the denim game for a while but I can't leave the wee man without a Christmas present. My own fault for thinking a second hand MBP would be better than a brand new normal PC.

After the roof, new suspension on the car and having been hammered by Christmas it looks like the Trons will be stuck in the UK for holidays this year (first world problem).

That's a big pill to swallow. I think 2013 can go feck itself. It was an expensive year for the the Seawolfs (Is it Seawolves?) too. Can you buy a new logic board and do it yourself?

Unfortunately the logic board is basically the whole Mac minus the peripherals and hard drive. Pam and I have decided that it will be cathartic for us to get rid of much of our material possessions anyway to solve the issue… So a fire sale is pending.
