• Kleenex: so soft, doesn't make your nose look as if you've been into coke for some years...

• Fairtrade cranberry tea (with lotsa fairtrade honey, heh)...

Oh shit Joe, that's no good! Have worked with a guy who's had gout, was a slow recovery for months. Not well timed with your moving house. Fingers crossed the treatment's improved in the last 10 years!!!

Sounds terrible, man.  Best to get those sorts of problems checked ASAP rather than wait.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
