@Tago-Mago a delightful thought. Poncy little ingrates.

@Tago-Mago just came out of the garage, i just might need a shower

@goosehd I stopped reading the news about a dozen years ago. Quit social media a year or two after that. I still hear chatter from peeps (like war here or there, world burning in this place or that), but I’m not immersed in anything. Most of the time it’s the price of petrol that tips me something might be up - can’t be bothered to find out what it is, though….
I love my bubble - it has done wonders for my mental health.

@goosehd I feel much the same way. I’m tired of all the pointless fighting and suffering.
I’m trying to come at it with a feeling of gratitude for all the blessings I have and I’m gonna try to do more for the people around me.

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot THIS
I can’t help but sigh and roll my eyes anytime the news comes up. The sky is always falling. Politics to me are just a soap opera. IMO most people aren’t “well-informed”, they’re “well-entertained”. I don’t need or want to worry about the prescribed drama of the day. I worry about things I can control. I’m okay with being unqualified to do some things….its why I don’t make my own jeans lol

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot @WhiskeySandwich how fortunate you are to be able to ignore what’s happening in the world because it doesn’t affect your safety and bodily autonomy.
Must be nice.

@sabergirl thanks for your input, Anne. I’m sure my boy would have preferred I killed myself years ago.
-
@sabergirl I like to think of it as a lifestyle of selective influence, which is more of a choice than an ability. A strategy for happiness. We’re all ignorant if not omniscient. So, yea, you’re right.
-
@sabergirl these times sure as hell are not to keep quiet, but to stand up and speak out.
