Damn this Basmati rice! Two weeks ago, I was making Uzbek pilaf outside in a cauldron. It was -15 degrees Celsius. In the end, this damn basmati rice didn't cook through. Get Laser rice.

                  Fuck!

There are few things I dislike more than searching for someone I'd trust enough with my little ones day in and day out.

That’s tough. Ours was with us for eight years. Unfortunately, a divorce ended the working relationship, but my ex wife and my kids are still in contact and see her as much as they can. I felt bad when we separated, so I kept her on for about six months. I am not entirely sure what she did most of the day but my house and the laundry were always clean.

@northsouthdenimguy amazing you found someone for 8 years. 2025 was a roller coaster for my son - first a daycare that didn't work out, to bouncing between grandparents, and finally a nanny. Really hoping for a longer term solution for him this time (and for his sister who joined the picture mid last year).

It is tough. We were very fortunate, and it also helped that my ex-wife, although she was born here, is fluent in Spanish since her mother is Colombian. That opened up a whole other level of potential people. Both of my children were fluent in Spanish for a time. They have since lost it, and while they still understand it, it is not spoken at home the way it was with her.

Diana really became part of our family, which is what made it so hard when everything changed.

Good luck, I wish you well in your search 🙏
