I got so sick on vodka when I was 15, must have necked 1/2 a litre before going into a club, never been so ill, worst bit was my folks had to come and pick me up from the venue and had to end their dinner at a restaurant to do it, I don't even remember telling the security guards where they were but I obviously did. Haven't drank clear spirits in over 25 years due to that night

It's sad, of course. Vodka is a drink for crisis situations. When you need to get drunk quickly and hopelessly. But for a holiday and love, good wine is better.

I need to rant about the DVLA. I had to get the address on my driving licence updated. Online process included linking my passport which has been very recently renewed and thus has a fresh new mug shot of my hairy face. So, I expected them to simply grab my new passport photo, digitally, and send me a new licence with updated addy + updated photo (considering the old one was from 15 years ago when I was thinner in the face and only had a stubble).
Alas no. In their infinite wisdom they instead took my old photo and blackened my stubble to look like a beard, darkened my eyebrows and also gave me a bonus weird frown. They've literally touched up the old photo and turned it into a bizarre crime photofit snap..."Have you seen this man?"
I'm honestly stunned by the logic here.
"Oh, he looks different now"
"Not surprised, original photo is 15 years old"
"Should we use his passport photo?"
"Nah mate. Let me open up Microsoft Paint"The new photo was RIGHT THERE FELLAS, right there for you to use. But nah, let's use crayons to give him a thicker beard instead. If this was AI that blessed me with a McLovin style licence, then safe to say, tech won't be the overlords of humanity anytime soon.

Apple TV boxes can get fucked, had to reset the old one last night and it wouldn't reboot tried everything
new 4k one purchased today that's the 3rd one now I've bought over the years.

Time of the year mold shows up on most all things leather around here. Pics of my Viberg country boots in waxed flesh.
My IHxSB olive tanned leather jacket is the mold’s favorite hangout, while interestingly, the IHJ-35 chrome tanned rider jacket is seldom and scarcely colonized by these critters.
If caught early a brisk brushing will solve it. If I’m late to the rescue it’ll need a couple of days baking in our winter sun followed by vigorous brushing.The journey is the objective.
