I hope so. I had a good few hours of adrenaline fueled activity immediately afterward. But I’m struggling these last few days. Still can’t catch my breath so to speak, the loss is astonishing. I spoke to a forum member the other day and he said he was surprised I had a southern accent, being from Pennsylvania. I didn't realize I had an accent at all and was slightly mortified. But all I could do is laugh. I guess (unfortunately for me) I am as white trash as I was afraid I am.

The australian version of up talking is to denote something as a statement that sounds like a question, without phrasing as a question. It gets me in trouble when talking/working with folks around the world as I have to explain that something is either or is not a question :/. That's a very English-speaking South African trait too….I noticed when I spent some time there in the 80's, when I came back to UK, I told everyone about this weird speech pattern, I had no idea it was a thing...
