Just noticed this hole in the sleeve of my Patagonia down jacket this morning. I haven’t even owned it for a year [emoji3525] Luckily, they have an ironclad guarantee and will repair it for free. Takes 1 month though

If you don't mind the DIY look, Patagonia also sells Tenacious Tape patch kits, and that stuff works really well.  Doesn't take a month, either.

I looked at the tape and I’d rather have them repair it. If they didn’t offer repairs then I’d do the tape

Everything I get in terms of outdoor gear immediately gets cut. Tent floors, sleeping pads, etc. So damn frustrating.

Wouldn't it be simpler to list a single sales thread, clearly naming all the items you have for sale, so that your potential buyers can easy identify your items within one thread

Totally agree with this. It is a PIA when my unread threads are mostly sales bumps.

It irritates me just a skosh, but then again it's better marketing. If someone has a grail piece and they see it in the title, that's easier for the buyer than having to peruse "McLain's Sales Thread."

Personally I don't give a jot.  People can choose to sell how they like.  Both approaches have pros and cons….

I'm generally not bothered about what is for sale, so I read my new messages (except anything that looks like a sale or a WTB) until it is obvious that what's left are just sales-related posts.  I then scan the titles, if there is nothing of interest, I "Mark all as read"...

I skim through the sales posts, but like Giles, I couldn't care less how people organize their sale posts.

Of course, now that I'm no longer a moderator, my opinion is even more irrelevant.
