Didn't buy that Dark Horizon cause it was 20€ for a 0.5l bottle… Decided to get some cheaper stuff... 30 beers and two glasses for 115€ - not too bad!..

This was really nice. Scotch barrel aged for 2 years but with a little sour from raspberries to cut the sweetness.

^ sounds bloody lovely. I do like a lyrical write up. Thanks.

More silliness. The Mud Cake almost worked. This one is just plain crap. Disappointing commercialism from a previously decent brewery.

Word. Although I also drank my one year old Brewdog Ab21 last weekend. First time I've experienced a years cellaring making real, marked, difference to a beer.

It's an abv heavy, tiramisu, barley wine, and initially there was too much going on with it. After a year all the flavours seem to have not only developed but also separated, so you can revel in the complexity. I guess this is what they mean by a beer "settling down".

Wax seals are so horrible.  I've gotten to the point where I won't even buy a bottle with wax all over it…

I don't mind wax seals, most of them are a breeze to open… But this one... I was hacking away with a bloody cheese knife... Using a chainsaw next time...
