So G: now I know what beers you like, I'll adjust to it and make sure next time you'll have lots of saisons and hopheads 🙂

Glad you got some Jester King Giles, you've got to make it down to the brewery here in Austin sometime!
Talk about an unexpected haul, this just happened today at the grocery store.

Haven't had the Fresh Squeezed IPA from Deschutes, but I've heard good stuff.
I thought that the Prairie Apple Brandy Noir had been sold out here, but I grabbed the last two bottles. Same goes for the Bomb!, so I'm glad I came across a few more bottles.
Had no idea we got Orval here, so I picked up two bottles along with the Grand Reserve to give some Belgian beer a shot. I blame you Seul!

I think I read a few pages back that I shouldn't drink the Orval cold, correct?

Also a powerful indicator that popularity is no guarantee of quality.

Funny you mention Bintang, wearing this today…

Cheaper than water most of the time over there, and not a terrible beach beer.
Or maybe it's just my fond memories (or lack there of) I have associated with it when I lived in SE Asia.

The fact that Bud Light Lime Straw-Ber-Rita is the 20th most popular beer in America has to be a sign of the Apocalypse.

Chins up lads, that's not that bad if you think in terms of the big picture. Craft beer is positively exploding. The general public has always quaffed bullshit. Bartles & James wine coolers, Boone's Farm "wine," whatever the fuck Zima was. More quality beer from small and medium sized breweries is being drunk than ever before.

                                            Also: more for us.

                                            To wit:

This imperial stout, aged wildly in oak in southern Illinois, and served at 55F. Reminds me of a really bright coffee infused with sour cherries and a hint of the barn. A pronounced alcoholic burn (10% ABV) makes me wish it were chillier outside. A big beer that insists I linger. An outstanding sour ale er stout. I'm anxious to try their noted framboise lambic now.

                                            Think it, be it.
