        Oh shit, you can do a LOT better than that…..I bet I could send you a few from our brewery that would put those to shame.....

        Nizzel55, your Zippo solid brass pic has set standards.
        G., sent him a lot.

          @mclaincausey:

          I wonder if they use a similar process to ice brewed beer (a Japanese innovation, BTW) to raise the alcohol content.

          But based on a German invention, discovered per accident I think

          Aventinus Eisbock is a class by its own. Legend has it that Aventinus barrels froze during transport in cold winter days. Brewers tasted the liquid that had remained unfrozen and were most deligthed. As the water freezes before the alcohol, what remains is a concentrated Aventinus – concentrated in aroma and in alcohol. We can offer this delight at any time of the year.

              Just had one of them Weizen-Eisbocks by the way… Truly an astonishing beer... Love the hint of marzipan in the nose...

                Picked up some take out Chinese food last night, this was the better part of the meal…

                Had to pick up more of this for the Belgian, yeah that's why 😉

                    I knew you wouldn't. If possible I think I like your box better so far than the one I sent Dan, and I really like everything in that one. 3 set, got 2 more to secure.

                            It's funny I live in the midst of some great brewers, even if I have to take a bit of a drive to pick some up. When Founders, Bells, Arcadia, and Dark Horse are all local it's hard not to develop good tastes.

                              That's the crazy thing about Belgium: driving across it only takes 2-3 hours… But we have such diversity in beers it's unbelievable... I really like my country  🙂

                                    I was in Brussels last year with a couple of friends. Nice city. Had a lot of fun. But I am sadly not a fan of beer from Belgium. I have tried quite a few. Several that was OK and a lot I would never order again. I will continue searching for a beer from Belgium that I think is more then just OK.  Perhaps you got any suggestions?
                                    I do not like fruity beers, or beer that got to much of a yeasty taste and I do not like when a beer is to sweat or sour and I am not very fond of Weißbier.
                                    Most of the beers I enjoy the most are from, England,  Ireland and Czech Republic.

                                          The best stouts I've had to date were either 'merican or Dutch… So not much help there  😉 Don't really drink standard lager either... And "ale" is too broad a term...

                                          WE'RE STUCK!..  😉
