^ Almost bought some last week. How different is it to the bog standard Hobgoblin??

I had some maybe a year ago and I liked it better, but I can't remember why I thought that.  If the price isn't outrageously higher, you should give it a go.  If you like Hobgoblin, obviously.

Halloween time fun. Broke out this beer that my wife bought for me. Damn tasty.  I would have never bought this as I've never hears of Sahtea. Can't go wrong with Doghead Fish beer IMHO.

That does sound interesting, and I agree with you about Dogfish Head.  Best thing to ever come out of Delaware.

            for him = westmalle
            for her = grand cru
            for me = rochefort 10

Much nicer. Very smooth. It's only £1.75 at Morrisons atm.

Thanks for the comparison, I'll have to get a Morrisons then :).

Six for the Achel (for which I am so massively stoked I don't think anyone would comprehend haha), and 16 for the Rio Reserva 2009. The latter underwent a crazy complicated process, and it should be worth it… I've been eyeballing this for about a year now... A friendly Dutch fella next to me in Geers, noticed me looking and lovingly caressing the Pannepot and Rye Triples, and told me to get this bottle... So I gave in...  🙂

However I  will try (I said TRY!) and empty my fridge prior to going to Geers again...

Tried the Rochefort 10 today. Took it out of the fridge, let it warm up for 2 hours (Dean Seul style), poured it in the Westmalle glass. Tasted better than straight out of the fridge. Somehow there was no bitterness to it. Complex aromas (can't bother to type which ones, wouldn't matter anyway), warm finish without an overwhelming taste of alcohol. In summary: I like! Now that I have established a specific drinking routine for it, I' ll definitely stock up on some Rochefort 10. If you can, you should try it!
